Network Director
Robert P. McDivitt was appointed as the VISN 23 Network Director, effective October 1, 2018. In this position, he serves as the senior official for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and portions of Kansas, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Mr. McDivitt has worked for VA since 1981 with progressively more responsible assignments in Minnesota, South Dakota, Kansas, North Dakota and Michigan. He worked previously at six VA medical centers and two VA networks before returning to VISN 23. An Army Veteran who attended college on the GI Bill, McDivitt is a graduate of the University of Minnesota (BA/MA), the VA Associate Director/Healthcare Administrator training program, Leadership VA, the VA Health Care Leadership Institute and the Federal Inter-Agency Institute for Healthcare Executives. He is a member of the Senior Executive Service and a recipient of the 2011 “Presidential Rank Award” for Meritorious Executives. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and board-certified in Healthcare Management.
