Virtual Education
Virtual Education expands access for Veterans who are unable, or do not wish to attend in-person classes due to travel or work constraints. It provides an attractive and interesting option for learning about different health care topics from VA clinicians. Veterans can review the education materials at their own pace, in their own home, at a time that is convenient to them. The education is followed up with a phone call appointment by a clinician to answer questions, discuss medications, and provide support for the patient’s health care goals. These classes are meant to meet the same objectives as in-person education, however a patient is always able to attend the in-person version of the class if they choose.
